Technical Information - structure
The structure of each Tuzo garden building
is made from timber sourced from managed
forests which is then pressure-treated to protect
against decay and insect attack. Round posts
are used for the main uprights, handrails and
spindles to complete the rustic look. We also
give the complete structure an additional
wood preservative treatment to add colour
and ensure maximum weather protection.
We have a range of colours available.
Technical Information - flooring
Tuzo garden buildings feature timber decked flooring as standard, although we offer the
option of ungrooved flooring if decking is not
desired. Again, all timber flooring is pressure-treated
to protect against decay and insect
attack and then given an additional wood
preservative treatment.
Technical Information - roof
The roof of a Tuzo garden building is
constructed from round timber posts, then a
layer of 6mm plywood followed by a weatherproof membrane,
and finally covered with the synthetic palm
leaf thatch. This creates the look and rustic
theme of natural palm leaf thatch, while the
space-age polymers from which it is made
make it almost indestructable. The synthetic
thatch is guaranteed for 15 years against
fading and 20 years against loss of texture and waterproofing.
The roof is finished off with a copper cap.
